Upcoming Workshops

Hands-on training workshop on Bio-Layer Interferometry.

Bio-Layer Interferometry is a biosensing technology that enables the analysis of interactions between biomolecules in real-time.
BLI comprises the analysis of the interference pattern originating from the immobilized biomolecule on a ‘dip and read’ biosensor tip. In the event of binding, the change in the number of molecules on the biosensor tip causes an increase in optical thickness. This results in a wavelength shift and a change in the interference pattern that allows the analysis of the kinetics and affinity of the interaction at a molecular level in real time.
BLI is a label-free, highly sensitive method that supports interaction analysis of a large number of biomolecules from diverse samples like Cell Culture Supernatants, Serums, Cell lysates, etc. in both crude and purified forms. The technique is adept at analysing antibody-antigen interactions, receptor-ligand interactions and most protein-protein interactions with high precision.

Supported By

Biolayer interferometry has widespread and real world applications in the fields of drug discovery and development, biopharmaceutical characterization, analysing protein folding and stability, etc. This technique can aid in the development of personalized medicine and therapies and boost the research in structural biology. It can be used for biomolecule quantitation, epitope binning, small molecule analysis, AAV capsid characterization and quantification, mAB antibody development, etc.
